I’m a huge fan of Racer 5. I know many of you guys feel the same. Racer 5 is one of those beers where all you have to do is say its name, and people are jumping out of their seats. This past week alone I’ve had people biting at just the name of it. It’s basically a cult following.

Now, the question is, does this beer live up to the hype? Hell yes it does. It’s one damn good IPA. A nice citrus taste throughout, and a bitterness that is so welcome. Just seeing this bad boy on tap has to bring a smile to anybody’s face. Resin and pine are just some of the nice earthy flavors that are floating around in your glass. Take a good deep sip of this. Take the time to enjoy it. And please, do us one favor. Don’t even try to fight the urge to order a second one. Just do it.
