So who are the masterminds that bring us this gem? Well as you’d expect, Ken Grossman, the founder of Sierra Nevada, is one half. Who balances this duo out? None other than Fritz Maytag, the founder of Anchor Steam. That alone should be enticing enough to check out this brew.

So as a beer, how is it? Damn this bad boy is dark. An extremely heavy beer that’s great for sharing. Coffee and chocolate tones cascade past your taste buds. It warms the heart and soul, and brings that classic grin any great beer can cause.
