Here’s our first shot at a Costa Rican beer. While I’m positive this is just a mass produced brew coming from the area, I sure hope I’m right. This being the best they could offer would be downright disappointing.
On to positive things. I do like the label on this guy. The gold and red color choices are always nice. The sort of crest logo they have going on is eye-catching as well. All I could smell from this was malt. Sadly, couldn’t catch any sort of hops through the nasal passage. It poured a golden straw color, and any head we saw at first, quickly disappeared. I finally did get some form of hops in the aftertaste. Not much, but it was nice to be able to see some form of bitterness in the finish. Pretty sure that this touch is what saved the beer from me hating it.
