Karl Strauss Amber Lager

Another day, another beer. Gotta love it.

So what’s in our mugs on this fine Wednesday? An amber lager from the lovely people at Karl Strauss. If you haven’t noticed yet, we’re design snobs as well as beer aficionados. I’m definitely a sucker for their clean style. The colors they use are great for all of our fun beer photography.

This one seems to have been around forever. For good reason. It pours a nice clear amber color. The head settles quite quickly. Wish it left some legs behind. Taste wise, this one’s on the sweeter side. Malt is the most present, and I remember getting a somewhat butterscotch taste on the tip of my tongue. It was quite pleasant, and I never minded going back for that second sip.
